Georgia Department of Revenue Adopts "Qualified Education Expense Credit"

On July 1, 2008, the Georgia Legislature enacted a program that allows corporations and taxpayers to contribute a portion of their state income tax liabillty to a qualified student scholarship organization, designate the funds for a qualified private school, and receive a tax credit.
